HLA HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM!

We offer PSAT and SAT preparation courses to help you achieve your best score and increase your chances of getting into your dream college. Our experienced teachers and small class sizes ensure that you receive personalised attention and support.

CREDITS REQUIRED FOR GRADUATION

❖   Language arts: 4 credits (English I, English II, English III, English IV, SAT/TSI Preparation)
❖   Math: 4 credits (including Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus)
❖   Science: 4 credits (including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, AP Physics)
❖   World Language: 2 credits (Arabic I, Arabic II, Arabic III, Arabic IV, Spanish I, Spanish II, Spanish III, Spanish IV)

❖   Social studies: 4 credits (including World Geography, World History, U.S. History, and Government/Economics)
❖   Fine Art: 1 credit (Art I, Graphic Design, AP Art )
❖   Health: 0.5 credit (Health Education)
❖   Physical education: 1 credit (Individual Sports, Team Sports)
❖   Additional required electives: 5.5 credits 

ADVANCED PLACEMENT COURSES (AP)

AP (Advanced Placement) courses are college-level courses offered to high school students. They are designed to provide students with a challenging and rigorous curriculum that prepares them for the demands of college-level coursework.  

❖   AP courses are important becausethey can help students to stand out in the college application process, earncollege credits, and develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed incollege.
❖   Many universities give preferenceto applicants who have completed AP courses, as they have demonstrated a commitmentto academic excellence.
